Position Details
Contract: 8+ months, with potential for extension or conversion to full-time
Start Date: September 3rd
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts between 8 AM - 9 PM EST
Compensation: $18/hour
Location: Remote (EST or CST preferred, some state restrictions apply)
About The Role
As a Patient Services Representative, you'll play a crucial role in supporting patients, healthcare providers, and caregivers. Working under the guidance of an Operations Manager, you'll help coordinate access to vital therapies and ensure a smooth experience for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound calls and general program inquiries with professionalism and empathy
Assist patients in navigating support programs (Copay, Patient Assistance Programs, Medicaid, etc.)
Coordinate with pharmacies and process wholesale orders
Manage follow-up activities, including gathering missing information and assisting with prior authorizations
Report adverse events as directed
Research and resolve claim denials or underpayments
Utilize various approved methods to collect information (phone, fax, mail, online)
Provide exceptional customer service, resolving requests promptly and accurately
Identify and report trends or delays to program management
Ensure all program correspondence meets quality standards
Collaborate with patients, providers, and internal teams to gather necessary documentation
Exercise good judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate actions
What We're Looking For
1+ years of customer service or high-volume call center experience
6+ months of experience in the medical, healthcare, or insurance industry
High school diploma or equivalent
Self-motivation and ability to work independently from a queue
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment
