MedWin Publishers is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Payroll Accountant. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our employees.
As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll, including but not limited to payroll calculations, payroll tax compliance, and payroll system maintenance. You will work closely with the HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth operations and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and on time
Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and other withholdings
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the payroll system
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
Reconcile payroll reports and investigate and resolve any discrepancies
Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee benefits
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Previous experience as a payroll accountant or similar role
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
