Position: Payroll Consultant (1099 Contract)

Are you a seasoned payroll professional who thrives on ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing? Bright Talent is actively seeking experienced payroll consultants proficient in using Paycom to support our clients' payroll operations on a project basis.

Role Overview: As a Payroll Consultant with Bright Talent, you will play a crucial role in managing our clients' payroll processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining efficiency and accuracy throughout scheduled payroll cycles.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• Certification such as CCP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar (preferred).
• 5+ years of hands-on payroll experience as a payroll consultant, payroll manager or similar role.
• Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Experience in auditing payroll processes and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for precise payroll processing.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and lead when necessary.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and payroll software, specifically Paycom.

Location: While many clients are based in Southern CA, project requirements may vary. Roles could be remote, hybrid, or onsite, depending on client needs.
