Description

Provides appropriate and efficient treatments and associated physical therapy services. Works under guidance of licensed physical therapist to carry out individualized patient plans of care. Participate and supports Rehab program development. Position Expectations and Responsibilities: Expected to be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Expected to have basic mathematical skills. Expected to have computer skills which may include some or all of the following: Patient Care Manager, Physician's portal, PHS, Star Navigator, Microsoft Office, Clinical Software Programs. Expected to demonstrate knowledge regarding the effective use of therapy equipment. Expected to demonstrate knowledge of treatment/prevention of any disability, injury, disease or other condition of health. Expected to demonstrate the ability to carry out planned physical therapy interventions for identified impairment, functional limitations and disabilities. Expected to provide timely and appropriate treatments in compliance with department policy and standards of practice. Expected to complete appropriate and required documentation in compliance with department policy. Expected to assist in all other department functions on a daily basis and complete these tasks within department deadlines. Expected to participate in and support departmental program development. Expected to communicate with patients, caregivers, physicians, and coworkers in a professional manner. Expected to participate in relevant meetings in a contributory manner and be consistent with the pursuit of quality patient care. Expected to coordinate and mentor student interns. Expected to work in a team-oriented manner. Expected to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Expected to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

stimated pay range for this position is $33.75

Qualifications

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required: Associate degree from two-year college or technical school for Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure/Regulation/Certification: Florida PTA license, BLS certification from the American Heart Association
