Plant Manager

We are recruiting for a Plant Manager role near Perry, GA. The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations and personnel in the Plant from receipt of order to final shipment. Use of lean methodology to continuously improve the plant processes is also a primary part of the position. The Plant Manager will lead the plant to successfully achieve objectives. The Plant Manager will also be responsible for the development and execution of the site plan including all corporate buildings and grounds.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the plant has proper staffing plans, and that team members have the resources, training, information, and support needed to perform duties safely and effectively achieve objectives.
• Responsibility and leadership for overall plant operations. Lead the operational management team and staff including Quality, Finance, Continuous Improvement, EH&S, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
• Champion all EH&S efforts. Ensure that employee and product safety are the top priority. Drive a culture of Safety and Sustainability.
• Coordinate growth strategies between the plant and other functional areas such as sales, marketing, and R&D.
• Responsible for the productive use of all assets.
• Prioritizes and manages the capital budget for the plant
• Works with other functions on items such as new products, new processes, and supply chain management as it relates to operations.
• Works directly with customers on quality and service related issues
• Works with team to develop goals and execute plans.
• Sets standards and expectations for all departments in the plant
• Develops direct reports for next level assignments.
• Directly oversees the quality system for the plant functioning as the management representative.

Education and Experience:

• BS in Engineering is highly preferred
• 5 to 10 years experience managing in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment
• Excellent computer skills including the use of Minitab, Excel, Word, Oracle, and Outlook
• Six Sigma/Lean experience
• Working knowledge of ISO
