Job Description
The Plant Operator will join a team of professional engineers, operator technicians, and business leaders to support the operation and maintenance activities, while maintaining a safe and compliant environment at the Black Warrior RNG facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include:
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the RNG plant facility equipment including, but not limited to, blowers, sumps, compressors, chillers, valves, vessels, pumps, meters, analyzers, instrumentation, controls, and SCADA
- Perform instrumentation and electrical maintenance and repair tasks for the RNG plant facility equipment including, but not limited to, blowers, sumps, compressors, chillers, valves, vessels, pumps, flares, meters, analyzers, instrumentation and controls
- Follow the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) including but not limited to LOTO, Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), work permits, and Management of Change (MOC) program, and other Local, State, and Federal laws including DOT (PHMSA) requirements
- Assist the Plant Manager and compliance department with compliance data and activities that occur on a regular basis.
- Follow permits and regulations related to design, installation and operation of biogas and RNG facilities.
- Record and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly plant logs and checklists
- Assist in various plant project and construction related tasks as assigned
- Oversee and work with third-party contractors that will be onsite for major repairs and maintenance.
- Effectively communicate with and assist on-site staff, including Supervisors and co-workers
- Follow and enhance all company safety procedures and policies
- Majority of the work will be conducted at the site. Some travel may be required (approximately 10%) to help on other sites when needed during O&M activities.
- Assist the Landfill Gas Operations Team as needed
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2 or more years of plant operations experience preferred, with a preference for Renewable Natural Gas experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively,
- Ability to move and lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Maintain a current and valid Driver’s License.
- Enthusiastic and able to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
- 2-year Associate’s Degree preferred.
- P&ID experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports and checklists.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
