Experience in InfoGenesis POS (#1 priority)

Overview Of Role

This role will be a lot of hand-holding of the vendor to ensure the requests/reports, installations, etc are being complete as required.

Broad IT subject area - similar to something you would get from an installation team (generalist, have to react to a lot of different things)

Primary purpose of team is to ensure POS functions correctly - including security compliance

From a support perspective this is a level 3 team support role

Technical oversight of everything in their subject area (ex. TOAST-POS)

50-60% of time focused on InfoGenesis (POS) - working with vendor, ensuring interface works correctly, going onsite to ensure installation works properly, helping operations side create policies/procedures

25% of time learning Marriott

Any additional time - learning internal workings on how POS touches other prats of the organization (integrations with payroll, 3rd party vendors, etc)

Background/Skillset

Experience in InfoGenesis POS (#1 priority) - a lot of casinos use InfoGenesis (market may be where casinos are, other restaurants also use this)

Symphony knowledge is help

POS background

Installation experience

Automating things (moving files, custom reporting)

5-7 years experience

Basically a Software Engineer, however, NOT seeking java engineers

Job Description

Functions as a technical expert with F&B Point of Sale, including InfoGenesis and, Oracle Simphony. Desirable skills include InfoGenesis configuration and deployment, Above property reports and exports, interfaces between POS and other systems such as PMS, shell scripting, and general knowledge of related computer technologies in a large enterprise environment. Researches and resolves complex issues related to Property POS systems at Marriott. Collaborates with Product, Engineering, L2 support and Hotel-Ops teams to ensure the systems deployed are scalable, resilient, and performing. Works with multiple products & engineering teams to deliver incremental value against a multi-year modernization roadmap. Performs or assists with research, analysis, design, creation, and implementation of applications to meet current and future POS requirements. Helps develop proof-of-concept implementations to evaluate cutting-edge technology to drive and meet Marriott business & technology objectives. Communicates upward to superiors and laterally to other departments.

EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE

Bachelors or Graduate degree preferred. 5-7 years of experience with support, installation, management, configuration with Marriott POS systems.

  • Provides technical input on department or projects as requested
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance the service delivery processes

TRAVEL

Very occasional travel possibly needed to attend events in Bethesda or POS installations at US hotels. Scheduled well in advance.
