Postdoctoral Research Associate

Position Highlights

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will support research focused on studying occupational exposures among nurses during pregnancy. This position is funded as a part of Dr. Rainbow and Dr. Farland’s Udall Center Faculty Fellowship. The position will contribute to the overall project goals of analysis and dissemination of pilot data, conducting literature reviews on topics related to occupational hazards and pregnancy, and assist with a feasibility study.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with the research team to plan and implement a feasibility study of occupational exposures in breastmilk.
  • Advance the research through analysis and dissemination of pilot study results.
  • Advance the research through writing systematic literature review articles on topics related to occupational hazards and pregnancy.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Basic competence in statistical analysis software.
  • Writing skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in health-related field by the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Superior ability to prepare, write, edit, and revise research reports for publication (as evidenced by publications or submitted manuscripts in peer reviewed journals).
  • Experience conducting research on occupational hazards.
