Job Title : Power BI SQL Developer

Location : Remote USA

Type : Full Time Direct Hire

Role Overview:

• Experience in design, development of data architecture, data flows, Business Intelligence solutions leveraging Power BI, SQL
• Responsible for design and storage of data in the database
• Design and develop schema for BI solutions, system governance process and other data/BI asset management process
• Own entire process of understanding the need from various business groups, design & development of solutions with technical team, own communication and deliverable quality and govern the overall relationship

Key Responsibilities & Skillsets:

• 5+ years’ experience interacting with Microsoft’s Power BI to generate, operate, and maintain BI reports using DAX queries and other related functionalities
• Experience in data preparation, data warehousing, scripting using SQL
• Experience in optimizing Power BI dashboards/ reports performance
• Experience in Microsoft BI stack with Power BI, SSIS, SSAS cube
• Some insurance background experience (Life & Health preferred).
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• Lead by example in prototyping new features/solutions demonstrating practical application to the client showcasing best practices and efficient data processing techniques

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
• Strong and in-depth understanding of visualization tools, functionalities for Power BI
• Data analysis experience using SQL
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
