Your Role
As an Assistant Teacher, you'll collaborate with our lead teacher in the 2-year-old classroom, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment where children thrive.
Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor children indoors and outdoors to ensure their safety and well-being year-round.
Assist in planning and executing engaging classroom activities.
Provide positive guidance to foster children's self-discipline.
Maintain classroom organization and equipment.
Support curriculum development under the lead teacher's guidance.
Supervise teacher aides, volunteers, and substitutes as needed.
Assume lead responsibilities in the absence of the Lead Teacher.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; must be 18 years of age.
Preferred: Three years' experience in a licensed childcare facility, CDA certification.
Current CPR and First Aid certificates.
Completion of 24 hours of professional development training annually.
Skills And Abilities
Understanding of Developmentally Appropriate Practices.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to adapt to varied environmental conditions and physical demands of the role.
