ABOUT THE PRESIDENT OF SALES ROLE:


As the President of Sales at TEDU, you'll be at the forefront of driving the growth and expansion of our higher education partner network. With an already established product line, this role offers a compelling opportunity to leverage your creativity, tenacity, and entrepreneurial vision to establish new partnerships and broaden the reach of our innovative Learning Support Software (LSS) program. Moreover, you'll play a pivotal role in diversifying our market presence by expanding into new verticals such as workforce development, further solidifying TEDU's position as a leader in academic support technology. This role isn't just about selling a product; it's about shaping the future of education and empowering individuals to achieve their academic and professional goals through cutting-edge technology and strategic partnerships.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Lead Full-Cycle Deals: Drive end-to-end deal management, from prospecting to closure, while also focusing on expanding within existing customer accounts.
  • Implement Effective Prospecting Strategies: Utilize email, phone, voicemail, and social outreach tactics to prospect new leads, emphasizing consistent follow-up to nurture relationships throughout the sales cycle.
  • Prioritize Speed and Engagement: Emphasize rapid outreach to maximize engagement with a diverse range of potential partners, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and opportunities.
  • Conduct Personalized Presentations: Deliver tailored discovery calls and product demonstrations to effectively communicate the unique value proposition of TEDU's offerings, addressing specific needs and pain points of prospective clients.
  • Analyze and Optimize Sales Funnel: Continuously evaluate and refine outreach strategies and sales funnel effectiveness, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance performance and conversion rates.
  • Develop Customer Lifecycle Playbook: Collaborate with the customer success team to create a comprehensive playbook for the entire customer lifecycle, incorporating strategies to enhance engagement, retention, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain Interdepartmental Communication: Foster close communication with internal departments, including Program, Operations, and Marketing, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall company objectives and support functions.
  • Craft Comprehensive Sales Strategies: Develop and execute robust sales strategies aligned with company revenue targets and customer acquisition goals, leveraging market insights and competitive analysis.
  • Lead and Motivate Sales Team: Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, setting clear targets, providing coaching and professional development opportunities, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Nurture Key Customer Relationships: Serve as a primary point of contact for major clients and partners, fostering strong relationships to drive satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term business partnerships.
  • Monitor Market Trends and Competitor Activities: Stay abreast of market trends and competitor activities, adjusting sales strategies accordingly to capitalize on emerging opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing department to align sales strategies with marketing campaigns, ensuring a cohesive approach to market penetration and customer engagement.
  • Manage Sales Budgets and Forecasts: Set and manage sales budgets and forecasts, optimizing resource allocation to maximize sales outcomes and return on investment.
  • Lead Deal Negotiations: Spearhead negotiations and closure of deals with major accounts, including contract drafting and finalization, to secure mutually beneficial, long-term business agreements.


IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:


  • A dynamic sales professional with a passion for TEDU's mission and a disciplined approach to sales.
  • Proven ability to build trust and foster relationships within higher education institutions.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a commitment to continuous improvement and execution excellence.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a systems-oriented mindset.
  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience, including in entrepreneurial environments.
  • Minimum of 4 years of higher education sales experience.
  • Proficiency in enterprise sales processes within higher education, with existing relationships in the field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality, coupled with a willingness to collaborate and adapt as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a virtual environment and utilizing virtual communication/collaboration tools such as Google Docs, Zoom, and Slack.
