POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced manager to co-lead the Pricing Implementation team within the CertainTeed Roofing Products pricing group. This Pricing Manager provides the leadership and technical abilities to develop, manage and deploy a team of pricing specialists and other specialties, that effectively perform all pricing and rebate processes at world class service levels.

In this role, you will lead a staff of pricing specialists, deduction analysts and coordinators in a hybrid work environment. As a leader in the RPG Pricing team, you will understand and utilize all relevant pricing systems and processes to effectively develop and deliver pricing programs that meet the complex needs of the Roofing Product businesses. This position will also heavily manage the recent acquisitions including GCP and BP while working with the Business teams, in tandem with the pricing team, to ensure that all customer pricing, accruals and rebate payouts are accurate. This position requires a strong focus on analysis and process improvements including standardization, automation and streamlining procedures while effectively training and deploying a team of pricing specialists to deliver accurate and timely service to the business teams for pricing and rebate activity. In this role, you must be a dynamic team leader who is able to effectively develop and manage a team operating in a fast-paced environment and be flexible enough to prioritize tasks with exceptional communication to meet frequently evolving requirements.


Required Qualifications

Pricing Team Leadership:

  • Responsible for the leadership, coaching, ongoing feedback and professional development of the RPG Pricing Team team through our company’s culture of Trust, Empowerment, and Collaboration.
  • Establishing and monitoring the goals and objectives for the department; including team performance, responsiveness, department flexibility, accuracy, invoicing, and service levels to both internal and external customers.
  • Effectively onboarding and training employees along with communicating and training internal stakeholders (ie. Sales staff) on key pricing processes.
  • Determines and monitors key performance indicators through collaboration and communication with customers; conducting surveys; benchmarking best practices; and analyzing information and applications.

Pricing Process Management:

  • Develop and execute all relevant policies and processes for pricing and rebates within scope to achieve company goals.
  • Facilitate opportunities to streamline or automate pricing processes; an active problem-solving mindset; and implementing required changes.
  • Lead cross-functional planning or program discussions and meetings as they relate to pricing and rebate related issues, including driving standardization of processes of acquired companies.
  • Ensures pricing processes align with Internal Control Requirements (ICRF). Oversee and/or participate in relevant audits.
  • Ensures timely, responsible, and professional communication to internal and external customers.
  • Strong awareness and understanding of the complexities and nuances of all product lines, pricing and rebate programs, and customer channels in order to partner with the Sales and Product Management organizations to create and deliver strong processes along with key training for the Pricing team.
  • Effective collaboration with the Sales, Product Management, and business unit Finance teams.

Analysis/Other:

  • Works with a variety of departments, including Sales, Product Management, and Finance to facilitate strategic company strategy alignment and maximize profitability.
  • Engages as subject matter expert on cross-functional project teams to provide required analysis.
  • Assists the businesses in achieving must win battles and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with IT to develop systems and/or programs used in the pricing and rebate function. Assist with troubleshooting system problems as it relates to pricing and rebates.
  • SAP/Price Fx Super User.


Additional Description

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of supervisory/management experience leading a team.
  • Experience with engaging with high volume customers on a face-to-face basis.
  • Dynamic individual with the ability to motivate and lead others.
  • Proven track record of developing high performing teams and managing employee growth.
  • Self-starter, lead initiatives and drive activities independently
  • Ability to solve complex problems that involve competing priorities; make data-driven decisions or recommendations and align decisions with strategies. Considers the impacts of decisions on other parts of the organization.
  • Driven and solid team player; openly share knowledge with colleagues. Customer-centric attitude.
  • Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process improvements and deploy organizational resources effectively.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills among all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to understand and analyze the “complete picture” incorporating all levers of pricing practices.
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or in a related field preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Direct reports include: Approximately, 6-8 Pricing Team Members
