Job Description
The Pricing Agent for Ocean and Air services provides daily rates, rated and ADHOC. They will coordinate spot requests within network, managing price quotations related to air, ocean, and road transport for specific global customers, while being the main point of communication contact with customers. This is NOT a remote position and will sit in Savannah, GA.
Qualifications
To maintain a very good relationship with the service providers.
To maintain always the most updated local port or airport charges, storage and demurrages.
To maintain always the most updated local transportation charges.
To build very good relationship with the local carriers and co-loaders.
To requests rates from local carriers, as well as from destination/origin offices and compare the same with Share point and contract agreements.
Quotes to be prepared using the Quoting Database or Approved Quote Format as per company policy.
Oral and written proficiency in the English language
Pricing experience in the logistics/freight forwarding market.
Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work productively both individually and in a team environment
Sense of urgency for goal achievement
Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong rapport and relationship-building focused
Empowered to make quick decisions in response to changing conditions
