Our client is powering the world’s alternative investment marketplace. Their financial technology platform has transformed how advisors, wealth management firms, asset managers, and banks evaluate and recommend bespoke public and private market strategies for their high-net-worth clients.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, outgoing, and experienced business development professional to join the team developing our enterprise presence in the US independent wealth channel.
This team develops and manages relationships with their largest clients in Private Banks and Wirehouses. This role will be instrumental in growing and expanding the company’s presence and client base. This individual will drive new business initiatives and lead the development of our GTM strategy.
Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to, prospecting new relationships, crafting compelling pitch decks, developing market analysis and strategy, engaging with potential clients through various channels, negotiating contracts, and leading implementation efforts. Role can be located in New York or Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Drive enterprise adoption of our technology platform and infrastructure.
- Promote a consultative approach to deepen and expand current relationships and source new relationships across the platform of offerings.
- Centralize client coverage efforts and ensure team alignment to support client needs.
- Educate clients on the depth of the technology’s capabilities and drive new mandates and business activities.
- Create and deliver executive presentations and report on key initiatives and business activity.
- Communicate feedback from clients and prospects to the organization to improve delivery of solutions and improve the overall client experience.
- Lead platform and system demonstrations for new prospects, lead responses to RFPs, and work collaboratively with internal and external cross-functional teams on client launches and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with other relationship managers and senior executives across the company to drive tactical and strategic initiatives regarding sales strategy and business development, CRM technology, and marketing.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in a business development/relationship management-related role
- 10+ years of experience working within financial services or financial technology industry
- Demonstrated ability to deliver a complex and varied product set and/or a technology product offering to Enterprise clients
- Robust knowledge and experience with Alternative Investments
- Strong track record of building and maintaining client relationships with key decision makers
- Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Demonstrated ability in organizing client coverage across product lines and client channels, achieving depth of penetration and consolidated support models
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strategic mindset and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated client service skills with key stakeholders and clients
- Series 7 and 63 licenses are preferred
