Process Improvement Analyst

About the Role

The role of a process improvement analyst working with demand planning, the buying team, and the transportation department typically involves creating, implementing, and monitoring process improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and reduce waste in the supply chain. This individual is responsible for analyzing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, developing and implementing new strategies, and continually monitoring performance metrics to ensure sustained improvements. Additionally, this role may involve leading and coaching a team of process improvement specialists, conducting training sessions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Analyzing company processes and procedures
  • Initiate and champion changes to develop an organizational mindset that drives process improvement, ownership, and accountability
  • Serve as SME and lead practitioner to implement a process of ongoing improvement based on Lean practices
  • Equip each DC with Lean Six Sigma and operational excellence tools and practices necessary to improve and optimize a process, methodologies, and technology performance
  • Developing process enhancement strategies
  • Investigation shortfall, issues, and complaints in current business processes
  • Establishing norms and standards of company performance
  • Monitoring staff performance and organizational processes
  • Collaborating ideas and strategies with members of management
  • Influence Leadership teams across the DC’s ensuring process consistency and productivity.
  • Provide regular reports along with KPI’s metrics demonstrating operational impact.
  • Develop plans to improve quality, cycle time, and cost
  • Develop presentations for senior management to facilitate discussions on projects or program progress and results
  • Staying up to date with development in management and process optimization.
  • Perform operational analyses, including risk assessments, mapping, redesign, simulation, root cause analyses, and time in motion studies
  • Conduct in-depth analysis, including data collection, data analyses, and synthesis of data to generate critical insights for projects or Lean deployment strategies
  • Complete post-implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has bed achieved and to ensure that improvement can be made for future projects


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business required, Graduate/PMP preferred
  • Three years of proven continuous improvement analytical experience from a similar role, including project management and business analysis
  • Minimum of knowledge three years in Lean or Six Sigma, preferable Green Belt, with a proven track record in the successful implementation in a complex organization.)

  • Proven track record in facilitation, public speaking, training, presentation, and communication
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are required
  • Lead projects and help the team achieve goals. Have a track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated success initiating change and ability to influence at all levels Proficiency in project management software


Work Environment

The performance of this position may require exposure to the warehouse areas where certain areas may require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel toed shoes and safety glasses. The primary environment is characterized by ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment


This is a hybrid role based out of our Las Colinas, TX Headquarters. The hybrid model is 3 days onsite, and 2 days work from home every week.
