Procurement Contract Specialist

Position Overview: Our telecommunications client is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Contract Specialist to administer activities related to contracts for the purchase of services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the supplier life cycle, RFP, and contracts process within SAP Ariba.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer activities concerned with contracts for the purchase of services.
• Manage the supplier life cycle, RFP, and contracts process within SAP Ariba.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for complex high-value equipment or services.
• Work closely with key customers and cross-functional teams to ensure effective procurement processes.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Experience in Sourcing or Procurement: Proven experience in sourcing or procurement, with a strong understanding of procurement processes.
• Sourcing Strategy Development: Experience in developing and implementing sourcing strategies.
• Strong Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated strong negotiation skills and experience working with upper-level supplier/manufacturer management.
• RFP and Contract Management: Ability to develop requests for quotes and proposals, analyze supplier responses, and award contracts.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Experience in maintaining purchase orders/agreements and managing supplier relationships.
• Market Knowledge: Knowledge of market conditions and supply sources that may impact future procurement.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 4+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing.
• Specific experience with SAP Ariba is required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
