We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Engineer. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in defining, designing, and developing best-in-class surgical devices. Responsibilities:
Provide engineering input during all stages of product development
Convert validated product prototype (Prototype Model) to manufacturing ready model (Production Model)
Create Production Model Design Documentation
Assist Product Manager with New Model Development Process including:
Create and execute design of experiments for testing new materials and/or manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, functionality and potential reduction in manufacturing time
Develop incremental design improvements based on customer feedback
Develop Lexington Medical product knowledge as well as hands-on ability to operate
Work independently across functions including with Research & Development and Manufacturing Engineering
Experience:
BS in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering from a top school, with an excellent GPA
Medical device design experience preferred
Working knowledge of 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
Experience in product development and product lifecycle management
Demonstrated theoretical and practical engineering fundamentals
Exceptional technical zeal, problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
Mechanical aptitude to use experimental engineering techniques in the lab
Demonstrated motivation, curiosity and creativity
