What You Need To Know About The Role
As a Product Manager for the Braintree Authorization Optimization team, you will work with senior product managers, engineering managers, tech leads, representatives from sales and client success management, and using external market and competitor analysis, to identify products that are in high demand from our current and prospective Enterprise clients, and develop a roadmap that will quickly launch these products.

Meet the team

Braintree Authorization Optimization is responsible for creating solutions that enable PayPal’s Enterprise, Partner, and direct merchants to grow and scale their payments acceptance rates reliably, compliantly, and safely across the globe. The Braintree Authorization Optimization team is a critical part of the Merchant organization. This team is responsible for building payment experiences that enable billions of transactions for Braintree merchants. Some of the areas we work on include Account Updater, Network Tokens, orchestration, as well as strategic projects for the PayPal Braintree Enterprise business unit.

You will bring together passion and diligence for creating exceptional merchant experiences along with deep technical payments expertise to enable PayPal to be the global processor and acquirer for our merchants. You will possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, have a keen eye for detail, be willing to dive into key strategic initiatives, and work collaboratively across multiple teams.

Your day to day

  • You will be responsible to lead one or more products and drive the product vision and execution.
  • You will develop and execute the product roadmap to deliver world-class payment experiences to our merchants.
  • You will collaborate with work in a cross-functional teams across Engineering, Sales, Support, Product Marketing, Go to market, Professional services, and other Product teams.
  • You will closely with other Product Managers on your team and be able to step into the details and alternatively step back into a 10,000-foot view.


What Do You Need To Bring
  • 2+ years of payments, card processing, or related product management experience
  • Strong business acumen and product knowledge inside the payments ecosystem, specifically in eCommerce card processing
  • Proven ability to develop and execute a product roadmap
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Payments processing, authorization optimization.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in a quantitative or technical field
