Introduction

The Product Strategy Director is a highly specialized role within product responsible for the formulation, assessment, and recommendation of long-term (1-3 year horizon) product strategy across the entire Optimizely portfolio. This individual adds asymmetric value and serves as an organizational forcing function that can help company leadership make critical, trajectory-changing decisions resulting in outsized growth and continued category leadership..

Job Responsibilities

• Assessment: analyze and align company leadership on market structure while taking up-to-date market dynamics, competitors, macro trends, and other intelligence sources into account
• Formulate: based on a thorough assessment of Optimizely’s products / portfolio, develop strategic options (with high actionability) across build, buy, partner scenarios against offensive or defensive opportunity areas
• Recommend: help company leadership reach consensus and alignment on strategic direction the portfolio or particular product(s) via rapid iteration cycles of continuous feedback
• The “customer” of this role is primarily Optimizely’s Executive Leadership Team (ELT) with board level visibility into the work artifacts produced
  
  

Knowledge And Experience

• 4+ years Product experience for a software company, scale-up or consulting firm
• Experience with Product strategy, partnering with different teams internally and leadership
  
  

Education

Master in Business or preferrably a quantiative domain, or Bachelor with right industry experience
