Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: Direct responsibility for the management of all production teams in your “Area”. The GOAL of this position is to meet Operation Goals of Output and Efficiency while at the same time supporting other areas of production needs. In order to be successful, the employee must be a tremendous leader that is grounded in the principles of progressive bundle system, lean methodologies, problem solving, leading the supervisory staff, and have excellent people skills.

Essential Job Functions:

Efficiency (Goal is 80% Real Efficiency)

  • This is a very measurable goal that is tracked on NSA’s Quality Objective Data Report and reviewed twice a year by management
  • Starts with tracking individual team efficiencies, monitoring progress, and identifying causes
  • Implement and maintain progressive bundle production system and other systems as needed throughout the NSA manufacturing plant
  • Mistake prevention by having clear work instructions

Output / Leadtime

  • This is a very measurable goal that is tracked on NSA’s Quality Objective Data Report and reviewed twice a year by management
  • Responsible to manage team staffing levels and for employee retention and attendance
  • Responsible for managing organization within the teams so orders can be prioritized appropriately
  • Ensure that appropriate training/cross training is provided to team members

Manage Supervisors

  • Lead them in problem solving, managing their operators, and coaching to excel and care

Quality

  • This is a measurable goal that is tracked by NSA
  • Excellent quality and meeting customer expectations is a requirement. Instilling consistent manufacturing techniques to provide high quality seams and garments

Safety

  • Insist that areas follow NSA rules and guidelines for Safety and Housekeeping

Training: Provided on the job

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications: Bachelor Degree, preferably with a focus on textile/apparel management

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of work in an apparel manufacturing facility managing production and/or quality

Ability to run, process and understand NSA Reports:

  • Open orders reports
  • Efficiency Graphs (Tableau, Daily Dashboards)
  • Know principles of production systems
  • Capacity information

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time

Working Conditions: Office environment and busy production floor
