As a Production Engineer, you'll play a critical role in supporting the Operations Manager and shop floor team to consistently achieve production targets for quality, quantity, and on-time delivery, all while adhering to Nexans standards.


Here's how you'll make a difference:

  • Lead and Coordinate: You'll guide the production team in meeting defined goals for quantity, quality, cost, and time.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical support to operators, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to excel.
  • SQDCE Champion: Facilitate the implementation of SQCDE routines within the shop floor team.
  • Production Performance Monitoring: Monitor production performance, identify challenges, and escalate them to management for swift resolution.
  • Collaborative Planning: Work closely with the Operations Manager on production planning and status updates.
  • Continuous Improvement Champion: Continuously propose and implement improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing performance (productivity, scrap reduction, OTIF).
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee product manufacturing according to established operating procedures.
  • Process & Product Management: Define process parameters and manage the homologation of new products and materials.
  • Empowering Through Training: Train employees on their workstations, equipping them with the skills for success.
  • Problem-Solving & Flow Management: Actively contribute to flow and performance management by coordinating problem-solving and quality issue resolution.
  • Safety Champion: Champion safety by developing HSE standards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Quality Management Expert: Drive quality management through external claim resolution using the 8D approach and internal non-conformity management.
  • Laboratory & Testing Expertise: Serve as the point of reference for final testing and laboratory activities.
  • Administrative Management: Contribute to the administrative management of the sector (SAP management,work preparation, receiving raw materials, finished goods shipment).
  • Maintenance Oversight: Oversee 1st level maintenance performed by the team, prioritizing interventions when necessary.
  • Equipment Uptime Advocate: Identify and report equipment malfunctions requiring managerial attention.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Education & Experience: Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or a technical background with equivalent experience (5 years or equivalent).
  • Technical Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of your sector's processes, products, and machinery.
  • Production Planning & Monitoring: Demonstrate a strong understanding of production planning, monitoring,and quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement Expertise: Be proficient in continuous improvement tools and techniques, including deploying and monitoring performance indicators.
  • Digital Tools Mastery: Be a master of digital tools like SAP, ERP, and MS Office.
