Production Engineer & Planning Support (818945) | White Bear Lake, MN

Our client, a well-established provider of customized tooling solutions, is looking for a Production Engineering & Planning Support professional to join their team on a 1st shift schedule. This role is responsible for planning and manufacturing engineering support that maximizes efficiency by ensuring Master Data, BOM’s, Routings, Costing, and Pricing information is maintained for all products. Additionally, this person will help train and support the production planning department and engineers on Material Master related work, so experience providing basic engineering and production planning support for all manufacturing divisions is highly desired. This is a direct-hire opportunity that will be fully on-site in White Bear Lake, MN, so only local candidates will be considered.

Duties:

• Master data maintenance (materials, bill of materials, pricing & routings).
• Master data projects (mass fixes, queries, reporting).
• Review and complete material related ECR’s and recommend updates to production standards.
• Assist Engineering with new product costing and/or pricing analysis.
• Conduct advanced planning within the SAP system.
• Assist planning with production scheduling and input to raw materials purchasing as needed.
• Upkeep communication with Production Supervision, shop floor, and others.
• Direct Production planning on processes and daily duties as needed.
• Train Production Control personnel as needed in areas of material master, master data, bill of materials (BOM’s), and routing as needed.
• Other Engineering or Production Control related support duties as needed.
  
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education preferred
• SAP experience required. 2+ years’ experience is ideal
• Excel proficiency required
• Print reading skills required
• 2+ years’ experience with production scheduling and inventory control highly preferred
• 1+ year working with Solid Works highly preferred
• 3+ years working in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Knowledge of production environments and product flow preferred
• Experience with planning/MRP preferred
• Significant product knowledge, multiple new product projects, and material master experience preferred
