Production Manager
About Us: We are a dynamic manufacturing company located in the Rochester, MN area, specializing in cutting-edge technology solutions for various industries. Committed to excellence and innovation, we’re seeking a talented Production Manager to join our team and drive our manufacturing processes to new heights. This role is open due to significant grow in demand for legacy and new products! We are in the process of making a significant addition to our facility and you’ll be leaned on for input into plant layout.
Position Overview: As the Production Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety are maintained at optimal levels. You’ll be responsible for managing a team of production personnel, coordinating schedules, and implementing strategies to enhance productivity and meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and motivate production staff to achieve production goals and objectives.
Develop and implement production plans and schedules to optimize resource utilization and meet customer demands.
Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Coordinate with other departments such as engineering, quality assurance, and logistics to ensure seamless production operations.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to develop the skills of production personnel.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Manage inventory levels and procurement of materials to support production activities.
Analyze production data and generate reports to track key performance indicators and make informed decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Solid understanding of production processes, quality management systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proficient in using MS Office applications and production management software.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
