Summary
The Program Manager, Recruitment and Pathway Programs will serve in a key role to establish our approach to create an outreach and recruitment strategy to support long-term graduate school student enrollment goals, develop and implement pathway programs designed to encourage the pursuit of STEM PhDs, establish and nurture alumni relations, and collaborate across the Institute to support the success of all outreach and pathway programs. This position will report to the Chief Learning Officer/Director, Office of Education, Training, & International Services/Associate Dean of Administration and Professional Development and work closely with the Associate Dean of Admissions.
Duties And Responsibilities
Develops, manages and implements recruiting strategy:
Along with the Associate Dean of Admissions, identifies and attends appropriate recruiting fairs/activities
Manages prospective student lists and maintains communication with prospective students
Collaborates with Associate Dean of Admissions to collect, analyze, and present recruitment and admissions data towards advising best practices and future approaches to recruitment
Manages the admissions process:
Serves as internal contact for prospective students
Facilitates student-faculty matches
Supports the Associate Dean of Admissions during application review and candidate selection processes
Develops and implements annual prospective student visit
Develops and implements annual New Student Orientation
Develops and manages outreach and pathway programs and relationships:
Identifies appropriate institutions and organizations for outreach efforts
Develops and manages pathway program activities
Identifies additional opportunities for engaging populations that align with GSBS strategy
Manages communications related to graduate student recruitment:
Collaborates with the Communications department and provides graduate student and graduate program information as needed to support development of outreach, recruiting, and promotional materials
Develops content for and manages the external GSBS webpages to meet established goals related to recruitment and alumni
Manages social media presence to meet established goals related to recruitment and alumni accomplishments
Collaborates with the Associate Director, Institutional Research and Academic Planning on the collection, updates, and management of alumni career outcomes data
Establishes alumni engagement strategy:
Develops mechanisms to engage alumni in program activities
Identifies and implements opportunities to provide alumni with educational and career development resources
Collaborates with other Institutional departments as required to achieve graduate school enrollment and student success goals
Education And/or Experience
Master’s degree in a biomedical science, education, or other relevant discipline required and three years’ experience working in higher education OR equivalent education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained is required
PhD in a STEM discipline preferred
Experience attending recruiting fairs and outreach events required, with a preference for STEM education-related recruiting and outreach
Experience developing recruitment and outreach plans focused on students from historically marginalized groups required
Experience working with various levels of higher education departments/programs, including deans, faculty, administration, and students required
Familiarity with graduate school admissions processes required; experience working with a graduate school admissions committee and managing the admissions timeline/processes preferred
Experience working with and developing STEM-focused programs for high school and/or undergraduate students preferred
Experience working with biomedical/STEM-related programs, specifically for pathway development towards PhD attainment preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any formal supervisory responsibilities.
Compensation
The Expected Hiring Range for this position is: $77,969 - $98, 302 per year
