Project Manager, MILCON with Security Clearance

Job Type Full-time Description What You'll Do: As the Project Manager, MILCON, you will join our CSS team within PMA-271, NAVAIR's Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program. In this role, you will be part of the team responsible for planning and fielding the replacement for the E-6 Mercury. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the facilities that will support the next TACAMO aircraft and its assigned personnel. Your primary responsibilities in this role will include: * Assisting the facilities logistics element manager (LEM) in site selection and management of facility projects with cost, technical, and schedule authority

• Conducting on-site suitability assessments, progress reviews, and inspections for facility projects
• Generating, identifying, and analyzing technical requirements * Exercising your technical expertise for the design, planning, organizing, control, integration, and completion of NAVAIR NAVFAC projects including major facility modifications, construction projects, support equipment projects, and facility systems engineering projects * Developing and reviewing engineering data packages; requirement documents, drawings, specifications, testing & acceptance criteria/procedures, and cost estimates
• Planning and formulating engineering program reviews, product design for compliance with engineering principles and MILCON standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
• Currently, this position requires no more than 5% travel. As the program evolves there could be the potential for 20-25% travel.

Requirements Who You Are: The Project Manager will have the following education and experience: * BS degree in Civil Engineering, Logistics or related discipline is preferred. Related work experience may be considered in lieu of an engineering degree.
• At least 6 years of relative experience as described above is required
• Demonstrated experience in the MILCON construction process, ICD-705 construction, and unified facilities criteria, along with knowledge of DoD facility criteria and NAVFAC or AFCFS requirements, are required
• Able to evaluate on-site facility structures, system equipment, mechanical and electrical control systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and reports

This position may require a Top Secret clearance in the future; candidate should be able to obtain and maintain a TS clearance.
