Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is seeking a Project Manager, People Team to join our global People (HR) Team. This Project Manager, People Team will utilize project management and facilitation skills to partner across HR, documenting, maintaining, tracking, and reporting on departmental goals, projects, operational plans, and budgets. They will create and maintains dashboards and status reports; proactively highlighting dependencies, risks, and accomplishments. They will also maintain a broad view of the People Team operations and suggests process or technology solutions that support a continuous improvement environment.
What You’ll Do
Assist the People Team strategic planning process by documenting and tracking the department roadmap, goals, and operational plans
Create, maintain, and operationalize departmentwide project standards, tools, and a governance framework
Administer the project management and collaboration applications
Create and maintain portfolio briefs, reports, and dashboards
Facilitate portfolio reviews with the People Leadership Team
Monitor interdependencies and proactively identify risks, issues, and accomplishments
Provide support to project owners to ensure successful project outcomes
Define project scope, goals, deliverables, resources, and budget in collaboration with project owner, project sponsor, and stakeholders
Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
Identify and manage project risks, escalate issues as needed, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track
Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcome
Monitor and report on project status to all stakeholders; p repare project documentation including briefs, reports, and presentations
Monitor project expenses and forecast costs to ensure the project remains within budget
Monitor the People Team department budget; track expenses and identify variances or trends that will impact operational expenses
Partner closely with People Operations and Corporate IT to understand next generation tools and capabilities; recommend how they should be deployed to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery of the People Team
What You’ll Need To Succeed
We’re looking for someone who:
Can work 100% remotely or from an Applied Systems office
Your experience should include some or all of the following:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Human Resources and/or Project Manager role
Working knowledge of HR functions and best practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
Experience with project management software such as Asana, Jira, or team workspaces such as Confluence
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

PMP certification; PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP a plus
