We are seeking a Projects Scheduler at the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL), Edwards, AFB, CA.

Description:
ASRC Federal requires a Project Scheduler on the ASTROS contract. The work would include maintaining site wide test schedules, site maintenance scheduled, resource needs and deconflict all conflicts. Will be required to monitor progress on test and operational work, interface with project resource analysts on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
Provide intermediate level scheduling support for a customer test area.
Maintain, status, and control project schedules using MS Project to include documenting changes and revisions to the project schedule, gathering status information and inputting the data into the project schedule.
Identify project milestones and activities necessary to achieve project objectives
Meet with all layers of support to ensure the schedules are tracking.
Identify and document schedule and programmatic interdependencies among project activities and related external projects
Develop project logic networks and estimate, validate and analyze project activity sequencing, duration and resource requirements
Interface with project resource analysts to ensure correlation of project schedules
Conduct analyses of project schedules
Monitor contractor schedules and scheduling systems to ensure compliance with the Schedule Management Plan, SOW, and CDRLs
Perform schedule analysis to determine overall project performance, variances and risk areas
Follow Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and schedule hierarchy structure
Provide what-if scenarios, work around and recovery plans, critical path, and vertical and horizontal traceability
Compliance with AFRL regulations and procedural requirements is mandatory
Maintain daily activity logs that list all movements throughout the Site
Support test operations by receiving communications from the Test Area concerning their status in testing
Requirements
Strong understanding of scheduling techniques and best practices
Intermediate knowledge and usage of MS Office Tool Suite.
Some Familiarity with MS Project
Ability to quickly grasp ASTROS project lifecycles
Individual must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple often competing requirements and meet strict deadlines
Strong critical thinking skills and be a motivated self-starter
Ability to work as a team player with both technical and management professionals
Individual must demonstrate a strong work ethic
Individual must meet government and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to AFRL.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 year of related experience or 6 years of experience in lieu of degree.
