Position Overview

We are looking for a QA Manager that can straddle managerial and individual contributor responsibilities. This person will be managing a team of QA engineering within the Data and AI/ML organization, while also being hands-on with our new literacy screener solution - our first direct student assessment product.

As a manager, you will help grow and mature the QA function within the organization and entire engineering organization. You will partner with other QA leaders (technical and managerial) to refine our processes. Balance the needs of manual QA and automated QA work. Oversee the work of QA team members as they embed themselves into the project teams they support.

As a hands-on contributor, you will spend about 50% of your time with the literacy screener efforts. You will work to understand and execute the QA required for AI/ML solutions, and work in close collaboration with the machine learning engineer as the solution moves to production.

You will be a champion of quality and always put the needs of the customer first. You will convey information about the quality state of the product and continuously find ways to make it better. You will work closely with developers, product managers, operations engineers, and other QA engineers to deliver meaningful updates. We need someone who has a knack for breaking stuff, knows a lot about QA and leadership, and is ready to learn more.
