Seeking a Quality Management Systems Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Lead and continually improve processes in alignment with company objectives
  • Utilize problem-solving skills for auditing, procedure writing, and measurement systems
  • Implement SPC and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with the ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard
  • Reporting to the Director of Technical & Quality Systems
  • Potentially supervise Quality Technicians
  • Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System effectiveness
  • Manage Document Control and revision processes
  • Conduct internal procedural and process audits
  • Participate in External Audits
  • Spearhead Corrective and Preventive Actions
  • Oversee calibration and MSA of measuring systems
  • Daily management of product quality reviews
  • Investigate and report quality issues
  • Coordinate Quality Department weekend coverage
  • Conduct personnel training
  • Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in ISO 9001 Quality Management System standards
  • Ability to elevate the QMS to meet higher standards
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification required
  • Preference for Six Sigma Black Belt or CQE
  • BS in relevant Engineering field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of quality or process engineering experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing industry highly desired
  • Competent in SPC, MSA, Auditing, and Calibration
  • Familiarity with lean tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, Kaizen, and SMED
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting technical procedures
  • Experience in writing procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in presenting information to various levels of the organization and customers
  • Occasional travel required (10-15%)
