Job Overview

Under general direction of the Corporate Aviation Manager, monitors ramp activities, inspects facilities and public areas to ensure standards for cleanliness, maintenance and other contract related functions are being met. Makes parking assignments for arriving flights and collects fees from charter airlines and itinerant aircraft using Corporate Aviation Facilities.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Monitors operations and activities on the general aviation ramp to ensure environmental compliance and safety; reports discrepancies and follows up as required.
  • Uses approved signals, equipment, and knowledge of aircraft size and types to marshal aircraft to assigned parking positions.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl beneath aircraft to perform aircraft securing tasks and perform lavatory, potable water, and power unit services.
  • Use DFW Board ramp equipment to tow and reposition aircraft on the Corporate Aviation ramp requiring visual cues and acute depth perception.
  • Operates DFW Board vehicles to transport customers between Corporate Aviation and DFW main airport terminals and other approved destinations on DFW Airport property.
  • Lift and lower items weighing up to 70 pounds without assistance and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
  • Operate DFW Board vehicles (golf carts, vans, trucks, aircraft tugs, and towing equipment on the Corporate Aviation ramp under all weather conditions.
  • Operates Aircraft Re-fueler on the Corporate Aviation ramp under all weather conditions.

What You Need

  • Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.
  • One-year (1) of experience in a position requiring extensive public contact and six (6) months experience with Aircraft Fueling.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Must possess Aircraft Re-Fueling certification or obtain it within 30 days of hire.
  • Must possess or obtain National Air Transportation Association (NATA) Safety Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver's license.

What We Desire

  • Previous experience with a Fixed Based Operator (FBO).
  • Previous experience with a customer service section of an air carrier.

Special Requirements

  • Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport's Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection (CBP) security access clearance within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for CBP security access clearance upon each CBP security access renewal.
  • This is a designated safety sensitive position as defined in DFW Airport's Drug and Alcohol Administrative Policy and Procedure. Applicants selected for this position will be required to pass a drug test prior to employment and to submit to drug screening on a random basis during the length of their employment in the safety sensitive position.
  • This is a designated Essential Employee position as defined in DFW Airport's Categories and Classifications Administrative Policy and Procedure. An essential employee is one whose attendance is required to maintain airport operations during an emergency or inclement weather situation.
  • Must be able to meet all initial and recurrent training requirements in accordance with Title 14 CFR part 139 and administrative Policy AO.014.01, Ground Vehicle Driver Training for Air Operations Area (AOA) within 30 days of assignment to a driving position and before being permitted to operate the vehicle without the direct supervision and presence of a co-operator qualified under this requirement.
  • Ability to pass a medical physical examination.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, as well as outside, in all weather conditions and around airport terminals.
