Personal Care Home - Seeking Recreation Therapist.
Job Description
A recreational therapist is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading recreational activities for individuals with disabilities or illnesses. They work with patients to develop treatment plans that incorporate recreational activities to improve physical, emotional, and mental well-being. The recreational therapist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
Assess resident needs and develop individualized treatment plans
Plan and lead recreational activities that promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being
Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Stay current with new developments in recreational therapy
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in recreational therapy or related field
Certification by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or illnesses
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
