The Arc of Central Alabama, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, is seeking a motivated and experienced Recruiter to join our team. This full-time position will be based in both Oneonta and Birmingham and will play a crucial role in recruiting and hiring qualified candidates for various roles within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize various recruiting methods to attract and source potential candidates for open positions, with a focus on recruiting Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other key roles.
Become an expert on our Applicant Tracking System, utilizing features to it's fullest potential to drive candidates and make a high volume of placements.
Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
Schedule and conduct telephone screenings with candidates to assess job suitability.
Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
Partner with hiring managers on hiring decisions and protocols.
Make job offers and negotiate salary and benefits packages.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Applicant Tracking System.
Collaborate with hiring managers and HR team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
Attend job fairs and other recruitment events to promote the organization and attract potential candidates.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in recruitment and hiring processes.
Successfully meet Key Performance Indicators on response rates, phone screenings, interviews, and placements week over week.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruitment, preferably in a non-profit or healthcare setting.
Experience using an Applicant Tracking System is required.
Strong knowledge of recruitment strategies and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Passion for the mission and values of Arc of Central Alabama.
Working Conditions:
The Recruiter will primarily work at a desk.
This position is based mainly in Oneonta, with occasional work in Birmingham a couple of days a week.
The recruiter will spend most of his/her time on the phone calling and screening applicants.
May have to lift up to 50 pounds when attending recruitment events.
Occasional local travel to career fairs.
