Job Summary
The role of the Referral Coordinator is centrally managing the referral process for internal and external referrals to specialty and sub-specialty providers. The goal of the Referral Coordinator is to work with all Cox Medical Group clinics to centrally complete and track to ensure patients receive timely appointments and attend the appointment with the specialty provider. The Referral Specialist will also support centralized functions for referral management to internal and external partners.
Job Requirements
Education
Required: High school diploma or Equivalent
Experience
Required: 1 year customer service experience
Preferred: Previous experience in an ambulatory clinic setting
Skills
Strong customer service skills when working with various staff members
Have professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and be self-directed to complete referrals in a timely manner
Possess excellent time management skills
Proficient using computers, including all Microsoft programs
