Title: Executive Director - Valuation for Financial & Tax Reporting, Trusts and Estates
Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Executive Director or Managing Director to join our specialized Valuation for Financial & Tax Reporting (VFR) and Trusts & Estates practices. These teams provide valuable valuation services to a diverse client base, including corporations, attorneys, and CPAs, ensuring compliance with various reporting standards such as U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and federal, state, and local taxation laws. Our engagements span globally across all property types, including office, retail, multi-family, hospitality, industrial, senior living, and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior leadership, providing research, data analysis, business valuation writing, financial reporting valuation, business valuation (closely-held and discount studies), and financial modeling deliverables across various industries and sectors.
Develop business opportunities by leveraging existing contacts and fostering new connections.
Complete valuation and consulting projects, including data collection, market research, analyzing complex scenarios, revenue and expense performance analysis, cash flow estimation using discounted cash flow models, comparable sales analysis, detailed cost analyses, and drawing market comparisons to develop well-reasoned opinions of value.
Attend industry functions to maintain existing relationships and acquire new business.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
7 to 10 years of experience in valuation.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook/Teams, PowerPoint), with advanced knowledge of Excel preferred.
CPA, CFA, or ASA (BV) designation is strongly recommended.
Intermediate to advanced understanding of fair value concepts under U.S. GAAP and IFRS, with emphasis on application to real estate, including ASC 805 (Business Combinations) and ASC 842 (Leases).
Advanced understanding of valuation concepts relating to business, intangible asset valuation, tax reporting, mergers, and acquisitions.

Compensation And Benefits
Base salary range: $150,000 - $200,000, plus commission.
