Acquire knowledge of the different data products and catalogs available within the Bank available to Research.
Support data governance and quality policies and frameworks for created, collected, and acquired data.
Partner with IT support and other stakeholders to support data ingestion and management, including programmatic methods (e.g. APIs).
Work with RIS staff on the data acquisition process on behalf of staff economists.
Job Requirements (including Education and Qualifications)
Generally ten years of relevant work experience preferred.
Knowledge of major Research centric data providers and their products (for example, S&P and Haver).
Knowledge of metadata standards and best practices.
Knowledge of business, economics, finance, or banking.
Experience and understanding of data and its use in research.
Ability to work well in a collaborative team-based environment and independently, as required.
Initiative and good project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities, often under strict deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly an ability to interact with and apply tact and diplomacy with all levels of staff on a range of issues.
Flexibility in developing alternative solutions in complex and rapidly changing situations.
High attention to detail as well as highly developed organizational skills.
