Qualifications

Required:

  • Skills in using PC software such as: Word for Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, LDMS.
  • Skill in sterile technique for tissue and cell culture, cell freezing and storage.
  • Skill in isolation of cells from blood and various tissues.
  • Ability to perform ELISA and multiplex Luminex assays.
  • Ability to operate and keep in good working order all laboratory equipment
  • Ability to communicate well with other investigators and laboratory personnel.
  • Ability to read and learn new techniques as required.
  • Mathematical skills to prepare calculations
  • Knowledge of medical and scientific terminology and symbols.

Preferred

  • Skill in PCR technology (RNA and DNA purification and quantitation)
  • Skill in bacterial culture, including anaerobic cultures
  • Background in biological sciences and experience in a research environment.
  • Degree in biological sciences.
