Job Description
Location – Newark, CA (San Francisco Bay Area)
MTR is a global leader in the development of novel membrane materials and processes that address some of the world’s key separation challenges. For example, over the past decade, we have brought an innovative membrane carbon capture approach to the final stages of field demonstration to help solve the climate crisis. The MTR research team has a long track record of scientific excellence and successful commercialization of new products. We are looking to add energetic individuals interested in joining this creative environment
Job Description
This position will conduct testing of membranes and modules to quantify and optimize performance of existing and new membrane products. The ability to analyze experimental data, present findings at group meetings, and contribute to project reports is essential. This position includes training in the operation and maintenance of laboratory and field gas separation membrane test systems.
As needed, the Research Engineer/Scientist will travel to test facilities to support membrane system field operations. Current locations are scattered throughout the continental U.S. and estimated annual travel time is <10%.
Requirements
A BS or MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a related field is required. No experience is necessary, although prior work with membranes separations is beneficial. Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills are essential. Ability to work both independently and closely with other team members to achieve group goals is a must.

Salary ranges for MTR positions are dependent on the level of education, number of years of relevant experience the candidate has, and
