Posting Summary:


Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Research Project Coordinator II, Career Outcomes & Assessment. Reporting to the Associate Director of Community Development, the SR Program Coordinator is the primary staff member for developing and maintaining the assessment capabilities of the Office of Career Resources and Exploration at Rutgers University-Newark.


This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:


  • Oversees the development of measurable departmental outcomes, assesses organizational and service delivery effectiveness, oversees a campus-wide post-graduation survey process, and communicates findings to the department’s staff and Rutgers community through various reports and presentations
  • Plans and executes the First Destination Survey for the CRE
  • In conjunction with a graduate coordinator, serves as the primary researcher in the Office of Career Resources and Exploration involving assistance with creating employer development lists, benchmarking with other institutions, partnering with other institutions and research groups to collect student and/or employer data, etc.


Qualifications:


Minimum Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s is required
  • It also requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function that includes coordination of evaluation work and strong engagement of stakeholders


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Related administrative experiences such as good organizational skills, analytical skills, and communication skills (written and verbal) are required
  • Demonstrated mastery of assessment, including qualitative and quantitative data collection, is required


Preferred Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in assessment, statistics, psychology, mathematical statistics, organizational assessment, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience within a higher education, student services, or career services organization is preferred.


Equipment Utilized:

The candidate must be proficient with SPSS (or similar statistical package), Qualtrics (or similar), and Microsoft Excel. Demonstrated mastery of assessment, including qualitative and quantitative data collection, is required.


Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be willing and available to work some nights and weekends as well as travel when needed.
