Responsibilities
Needs Assessment: Collaborate with nursing leadership and staff to assess learning needs and identify areas for improvement in the perioperative setting.
Curriculum Development: Design and implement engaging and effective educational programs for perioperative nurses, incorporating evidence-based practices and innovative teaching methods.
Training and Competency Assessment: Develop and deliver training programs to ensure nurses maintain competency in their skills and knowledge.
Mentorship and Coaching: Provide mentorship and guidance to new and experienced nurses, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Orientation and Onboarding: Facilitate the smooth transition of new hires into the OR environment, providing comprehensive orientation and training.
Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care.
Resource Development: Develop and maintain educational resources, including policies, procedures, and reference materials, for the perioperative team.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education or related specialty.
Experience:
Preferred: 2+ years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Licensure/Certifications:
Current State Licenses & Certifications (e.g., RN license in Arizona, BLS, ACLS, PALS).
