Sales Development Representative (SDR) Manager

Our fast-growing startup is looking for a skilled, self-motivated, high-energy sales professional to lead and develop our Sales Development Representative (SDR) team. As an SDR Manager at ChurnZero, you will play a critical role in driving demand for our Customer Success Platform solution. This is a unique opportunity to manage and mentor a team of SDRs, helping them to articulate the unique value of our platform and grow their careers within our organization.

Job Title: Sales Development Representative

Classification: Exempt

Reports to: Chief Sales Officer

Location: Washington, DC (hybrid schedule - in office 2 days a week)

Target Salary Range: $90,000 to $100,000 annual base salary plus $50-60k variable

Responsibilities

  • Combine knowledge of industry best practices: An openness to try new things (including Gen Ai ??) to ensure that we’re always learning and maximizing team output
  • Team Leadership and Motivation: Lead a high-velocity Sales Development team, motivating, coaching, and inspiring team members to achieve and exceed performance metrics and revenue quotas.
  • Recruitment and Development: Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and providing ongoing training and mentorship to SDRs, ensuring their growth and development within the sales organization.
  • Pipeline and Performance Management: Optimize team members' pipelines, manage productivity, and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure the team meets established goals and standards.
  • Sales Planning and Collaboration: Formulate and execute on monthly and quarterly sales plans, and collaborate with sales reps and managers to ensure seamless demo handoff and follow-up.
  • Process Improvement and Best Practices: Recommend and implement systems to improve team efficiency, combining industry best practices with innovative approaches to maximize team output.
  • Client Engagement and Feedback: Assist the SDR team with client meetings, presentations, and providing feedback on sales and personal development to enhance team effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 2+ years of successful sales management experience in an enterprise environment, preferably in the technology field.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of building, growing, and managing a highly prolific sales team. Willingness to "get in the trenches", roll up your sleeves and show the team how to do the work
  • Customer Focus: Demonstrated commitment to identifying and responding to customer needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Innovative Thinking: Embraces and champions new ideas and encourages others to do likewise.
  • Organizational Commitment: Demonstrates loyalty and appreciation for the organization, ensuring the needs of both employees and the organization are met.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Positivity and Mentorship: Positivity and desire to uplift and share knowledge with those around you, with mentorship and coaching experience/methodology.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using CRM and sales enablement tools, including Salesforce, Outreach, 6sense, LinkedIn, and Zoominfo.
