Responsibilities
Answers multi-line telephones, takes messages and schedules new patient appointments.
Schedules appointments and testing as requested and instructs the patient.
Answers questions regarding patient appointments and testing.
Maintains and updates current demographic and insurance information.
Type’s letters, memos or other correspondence as requested.
Greets patients and public in a prompt, pleasant and helpful manner.
Verifies necessary information such as insurance and authorizations and records it appropriately.
Documents information regarding patient appointments and testing in appointment notes, order notes and clinic notes.
Obtains authorization for appointments and testing.
Collect co-pay and other payments from patients and log appropriately.
Complete payment batch out daily and forward to appropriate staff.
Float as needed.
Follow check-out policy and procedure.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED

1 - 3 years medical office experience
