Role: Sr. Scientist

Location: Des Plaines, IL - 60018-3315

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize the mathematical algorithms that translate a chemical signal into a clinical result
  • Mine large datasets to identify trends or anomalies, then dive deep to get to a mechanistic root cause
  • Develop digital and AI/ML systems
  • Support our entire product catalog from development through on-market support
  • Perform bioinformatic analyses

The Candidate Must Have

  • PhD in biology, physics, or chemistry
  • Good understanding of molecular biology (especially PCR)
  • Strong Python programming experience
  • Strong mathematical intuition
  • Excellent investigative data analysis skills

Ideally, The Candidate Would Have Hands-on Experience With

  • Cloud computing (preferably in AWS)
  • SQL
  • Machine learning methods
  • Git
  • Linux
  • Bioinformatics
  • PowerBI
