Our client is an organization in the Milwaukee area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 3+ years of accounting experience, grant or single audit experience, and comfortable working independently. *Must live within 2 hours of Milwaukee, WI.

The salary range for this job is $75k-100k.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for monitoring grants form start to finish including award set up, supporting proposals, tracking, reporting, filing and analysis.
• Perform various accounting functions; month-end general ledger close including preparation, editing and posting of journal entries.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports.
• Performs detailed review and analysis of specified balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Assist with preparation of work papers and schedule for annual audits.
• Serve as a financial resource for assigned entities.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Must live within 2 hours of Milwaukee, WI.
• Grant or single audit experience.
• Healthcare accounting experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
