Senior Accounting

THE ROLE:

The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will be a critical contributor to day-to-day accounting, special projects, and the month-end close process, including accounting for fixed assets, capitalized software, COGs analysis and accruals, cash entries, bank reconciliations, intercompany entries and reconciliations, debt accounting, and other accruals. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, ownership of the role, ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Cash transaction research and entries
• Bank reconciliations including international accounts
• Intercompany activity research, entries, and reconciliations
• Participation in the monthly fixed asset meetings
• Work cross-functionally for fixed assets and internally developed software accounting
• Debt accounting and journal entries
• COGS activity review, analysis, and preparation of journal entries
• Preparation of month-end entries and reconciliations, including deferred revenue and channel partner commissions
• Manage the reconciliation log and monthly reconciliation process
• Assist with special projects during off-close periods
• Provide support during external audits and tax preparations
• Provide accounting and financial support to management as required
  
  

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with GL accounting and financial reporting
• Experience with the month-end close processes
• Experience supporting an external audit
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
• High level of accountability and ability to work with limited oversight
• Willing to tackle challenges in a continuously changing environment
• Experience with NetSuite preferred but not required
• Start-up experience is a plus
• CPA license is a plus
