Toll Brothers, America's leading builder of luxury homes seeks a Senior Community Development Manager to join our team in our division located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

What is the opportunity?

The Senior Manager, Community Development is the primary point of contact for community association matters in their Division. This position is attached to the Toll Brothers Community Association Group (CAG) to ensure the proper implementation of Toll’s standards in order to create, foster and transition vibrant, positive and self-sufficient communities. This position will assemble and review necessary documents (drafted by others) for proper disclosure (e.g., budgets, governing documents, architectural guidelines, etc.) for Community Planning and Sales teams, answer questions from internal and external clients, oversee community association operations, Board service and meeting attendance, and oversee Community Association Coordinators and / or Community Development Managers, among other things.

What are the primary responsibilities?

  • Serve as primary Toll liaison to community association management companies. Provide guidance and oversight to management companies in consultation with the CAG.
  • Ensure community association lifestyle programs (as implemented by management companies and / or internally) are flourishing and are benefitting marketing and customer satisfaction efforts.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to internal clients and leadership regarding community associations, in c onsultation with CAG.
  • Oversee assembly of necessary documents in consultation with the CAG, outside counsel and management companies. Distribute same to Community Planning and Sales teams, updating as necessary.
  • Assemble new community association governing documents in consultation with outside counsel and CAG.
  • Oversee board service and board meeting attendance. Serve on community association Boards as practicable. Consult with Operations team and CAG regarding policy for toll communities as questions arise.
  • Obtain personal FinCEN ID number in conjunction with Federal requirements for community association Board service.
  • Coordinate transition to Homeowner control in consultation with CAG, including post-transition negotiation of general release agreement.
  • Supervise and / or support Community Development Managers and / or Coordinators
  • All other duties as assigned

Do you have these qualifications?

  • Essential:
    • Minimum 10+ years of experience in the community association industry or related industries.
    • “Certified Manager of Community Associations” (CMCA®) designation, as awarded by the Community Association Managers International Credentialing Board (CAM-ICB)
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
    • Experience supervising one or more Community Association Managers or persons in related fields

  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Additional community association industry designations (e.g., AMS®, PCAM®, LSM®, CCAM®, LCAM, CAAM®)
