What's the opportunity? 🤔

Intercom is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Compensation Partner to join the global compensation team. Reporting to the Compensation & Benefits Director, you will have the opportunity to contribute at all levels, building and executing on our Compensation Philosophy.

What will I be doing? 🚀

  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensations strategies and policies that support organizational goals
  • Build deep subject matter expertise on market trends and factors impacting talent attraction and retention
  • Lead annual salary review processes, including budget planning, salary band adjustments and merit increase recommendations
  • Lead on preparation for Compensation Committee materials
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to provide guidance on compensation related matter
  • Collaborate with Finance to forecast and budget for compensation expenses
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and prepare reports to support decision making and provide insights to senior leadership
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members on compensation related matters
  • Participate in special compensation projects as needed

What Skills Do I Need? 📖

  • 7+ years experience in the Compensation field. Experience working for a fast-growing, global tech company is strongly preferred
  • Deep understanding of compensation principles, practices and methodologies
  • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data to inform compensation decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Experience working with sales teams and sales incentive plans
  • Job architecture design preferred
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive compensation information
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with compensation management software preferred (Workday, Pave)

The base salary range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is $182,000 - $217,000. Actual base pay will depend on a variety of factors such as education, skills, experience, location, etc. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
