Senior CAD Designer – up to $110,000 – Orlando – Civil Engineering

You will be joining a great team in Orlando, Florida, as a key player in the team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of impactful projects in land development, renewable energy, healthcare, and more.


The Role of the Senior CAD Designer:

In this role, you will be instrumental in planning and designing civil engineering projects, working closely with a team of talented Project Engineers. Your expertise will help shape the future of major developments across various market sectors. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to evaluate soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data for project planning and design.
  • Preparing detailed planning and design documents for civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects using advanced engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
  • Conducting zoning and feasibility assessments for development projects.
  • Performing field inspections as needed.
  • Writing and reviewing draft reports, including feasibility studies, stormwater management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports.
  • Interacting professionally with clients and subcontractors in collaboration with your supervisor.


Qualifications of the Senior CAD Designer:

  • A degree in Engineering Sciences, e.g. Civil Engineering, demonstrated equivalent knowledge, or extensive AutoCAD/Civil 3D training.
  • 3+ years of experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, stormwater management, drainage, and soil erosion.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal land use permitting processes.
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D design.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to project sites and client locations as required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional analytical, multitasking, and judgment abilities.
  • Reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits, along with a valid driver’s license in good standing.
