Overview

Wonderlic seeks an experienced Consultant with specialized expertise leveraging talent assessments to support an organization’s talent strategy from employee selection to individualized employee development.

You will spend the majority of your time providing value-added consulting services to our largest and most complex clients to enhance our assessment solutions. More specifically, you will work cross-functionally with our Customer Success and Sales teams to engage clients by scoping client needs and proposing appropriate solutions (e.g., job analyses, local validation studies, adverse impact analyses, ROI studies, and talent audits). Once sold, you will be responsible for project management, from implementation to presentation of findings, of the proposed solution.

We’re looking for someone comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively with peers. Although most of your projects will be yours to own, we work on internal team-based projects as well.

In short, you’re a hard-working talent assessment expert who’s willing and able to mentor team members while providing a successful, positive experience for our customers. Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with clients to provide strategic talent management solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Perform job analyses to understand the key competencies and requirements for various roles within client organizations.
  • Conduct local validation studies to ensure the effectiveness and fairness of selection procedures and report results to client stakeholders to communicate not only the quantitative results but the underlying story that the data tell.
  • Conduct talent audits to identify strengths, skill gaps, and development opportunities within client organizations.
  • Partner with clients to apply research findings, including creating custom scoring profiles and designing and implementing employee development programs using Wonderlic assessments.
  • Contribute, develop, or direct the development of a wide variety of client and internal deliverables (i.e., technical reports, tools, strategic approaches, or data analyses).
  • Play a key role in developing and implementing scalable processes and best practices for talent assessment projects, enabling efficient and consistent delivery across the organization.
  • Provide technical product expertise to our customers by serving as an in-house Wonderlic assessment expert by joining our Sales and Customer Success teams on pre-sales calls and/or client calls for key accounts or by facilitating results debriefs/interpretations.
  • Deliver presentations and workshops to clients on assessment-related topics.
  • Support the development and delivery of high-value content, including thought leadership papers, webinars, and educational workshops that cement our position as a leader in applied I-O psychology.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent assessment, talent management, the future of work, and emerging AI legislation and guidelines.
  • Partner with cross-functional team members to provide guidance and I-O expertise as part of product development initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

KSAs required for success include:

  • Strong ability to analyze information and develop insights based on data.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to complex talent management challenges.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to lead client-facing interactions, and to ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Exceptional project management skills to effectively balance multiple complex internal and external projects.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, or provide project leadership without formal authority.
  • Knowledge of job analysis methodology, competency model development, test development, criterion-related validation, and adverse impact analyses
  • Solid understanding of professional, ethical, and legal standards in employment testing, measurement, and selection (Uniform Guidelines, SIOP Principles, Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing).
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders, including engaging non-expert audiences.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a team-based organization.
  • Ability to adapt communication style and tone based on the audience's reactions and the issues being addressed.
  • Experience working directly with senior leadership and influencing strategic decision-making is preferred.
