Role Overview: 


As a Senior Web Developer, your primary responsibilities will be to onboard new Nostra customers, adapt the Nostra system to our customers’ changing eCommerce sites, troubleshoot issues, and recommend performance optimizations as a member of our Customer Success Team. Nostra sits as a first-party proxy in front of our customers’ Shopify or Salesforce Commerce Cloud eCommerce stores. 


Your role is key to Nostra’s unique advantage, which allows us to onboard customers in less than a day with no code changes on their side. Join our successful, growing team and become an expert in both the Shopify and Salesforce Commerce Cloud ecosystems while gaining invaluable knowledge of over 8,000 Shopify apps and Salesforce Commerce Cloud’s partner app ecosystem. 


As a senior member of the team, you will also become the ‘Nostra technical expert’ in Customer Success, talking with customers’ technical teams when they have questions, answering questions that are beyond the technical knowledge of the Customer Success Managers, and being the point of escalation for the other web developers on the team to help them solve the hard problems. You will be the bridge between the Product Engineering team and the Customer Success team when issues arise in the core product. You will also be reviewing all our implementations, looking for patterns to build and extend templates in our implementation library.


Responsibilities: 


  • Onboarding customers via Nostra’s tools utilizing HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
  • Assisting customers with minor DNS changes related to Nostra.
  • Analyzing eCommerce sites for performance optimizations utilizing Google Lighthouse, WebPageTest, GTmetrix, and other standard web performance tools. 
  • Documenting customer-specific performance optimization recommendations that are outside of the scope of Nostra’s core products.
  • Identifying functionally impacting changes in Customers’ ecommerce sites as new versions of their sites are released and adapting Nostra’s product integration to accommodate the changes.
  • Detecting the root causes of issues, web components, JS, and executing solutions aligned with the latest version build.
  • Creating reusable implementation templates across customers.
  • Working with Product Engineering to diagnose and fix issues that arise in the core product.
  • Train and mentor other web developers on the team.


Requirements:


  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Extremely comfortable traversing the DOM
  • Experience with eCommerce, required 
  • 3+ years expert-level experience in website performance and optimizations, including Core Web Vitals
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, both internally and with customers
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent critical thinking and creative analysis skills
  • 1+ years as a senior member of a team, mentoring others while also being an individual contributor


Compensation:


The compensation package for this position includes an annual salary of  $100,000 - $125,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
