Job Overview/Summary

The Demand Planner is responsible for developing an 18-month rolling demand forecast for specific business franchises, ensuring the forecast is unconstrained and based on clear assumptions, risks and opportunities (R&O), and drivers for changes. This role will involve leading monthly demand reviews with commercial teams to achieve consensus on the forecast, conducting root cause analysis, and supporting processes related to demand vs supply analysis and inventory management. The Demand Planner will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy.

Job Responsibilities

Develop an 18-month rolling unconstrained demand forecast for specific business franchises.

Report updated forecasts with clear assumptions, R&O, and drivers for changes.

Lead monthly demand reviews with commercial teams to achieve consensus on the forecast and develop a clear bridge to financial forecast via triangulation.

Conduct root cause analysis and continuous improvement of regional key performance indicators, such as Forecast Accuracy.

Support processes and activities related to demand vs supply analysis and inventory management.

Required

Bachelor's degree.

Minimum of 3 years' experience in Demand Planning or a related field.

Very strong analytical skills, able to handle large amounts of data in multiple formats from different sources, consolidating all data and showing the ability to identify and prioritize focus areas.

Affinity to planning systems and use of computers/software. High-level Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.

Stakeholder management skills and experience in a geographically diverse, matrix organization.

Comfort in drawing assumptions and making decisions under uncertainty and ambiguity.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in the biotech industry.

Experience with statistical forecasting or data modeling.
